Vastu Principles in the Living and Dining Room

The living room should be located in the home’s Uttar disha (North) or Poorav disha (East). Avoid designing a living room in the house’s Nairuti kona, or south-west, area.

During conversations, the head of the household and other family members should sit facing either the Uttar disha (North) or the Poorav disha (East).
Visitors and guests ought to face Dakshin disha (South).

For stability, place the chairs or sofa up against a sturdy wall.

Place attractive and inspiring decorations on display. Installations with images of lone women, untamed animals, melancholy, deserts, statues of elephants with drooping trunks, dry floral arrangements, etc. are prohibited. Install eye-catching images and posters that convey joy, growth, vibrancy, the like.

To ensure that your room is filled with sufficient Cosmic Energy, keep the windows facing the Uttar disha (the North zone) and Poorav disha (the East zone) open as much as possible.

If the east side of the building is windowless, place the Soorya Devtaji Mural (see here) at a height of approximately six feet on the Poorav disha wall.

The Uttar disha (North zone) or Poorav disha (East zone) should be where the mirrors are positioned.

Maintain a Brass Kamdhenu Cow Statue (see here) in the property’s East-South-East or South-East area to reduce issues.

Steer clear of sharply angled walls, furniture, and overhead beams when you’re sleeping or sitting. Place Bent Copper Cosmic Symbols every three feet along the edge of the beam on both sides. Use a powerful glue to secure it.

The Nairuti kona, or South-West zone, in the living room is where you should put large furniture and cabinets.
